Stefania Barker

Born in Rome, Italy, Stefania bought her first yoga book as a teenager on an impulse.

The seed of interest in Yoga was planted but remained dormant for years. After moving to London her enthusiasm for health and fitness (and her husband’s pestering), brought her to try a local Yoga class. Attending classes regularly and experiencing a variety of styles and teachers slowly drew her towards the spiritual and philosophical aspects of Yoga. For over 10 years now she has consistently practiced and gratefully thanks her husband for the pestering…

Stefania studied under the guidance of Jacqueline Purnell and gained The British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Diploma in 2008. In 2010 she studied at the Omega Institute (NY) with Sharon Gannon and David Life, gaining the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Certification.

Her classes are in a challenging vinyasa style (flowing asana sequences) to music, and incorporate breathing, meditation and deep relaxation.

Stefania teaches classes and workshops at The Garden Studio in South Ealing and offers private group and one-on-one classes.

"May all beings everywhere be happy and free - and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all." (Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu)

Vanessa Dale

Vanessa’s background was as a PR Executive for a multinational IT company; her main role was event management. Vanessa took voluntary redundancy in 2000 and decided to use the opportunity to get away from the ‘rat race’ and retrain in a more fulfilling profession, in an area that she felt very passionate about, which was of course yoga.

Vanessa has been practicing yoga for nearly 8 years and qualified in 2003, since then her studies have been an on going process and she now has qualifications in Jivamukti Yoga, Anusara Yoga, British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Foundation Course, Advanced Yoga Anatomy, Yogabugs and is attuned in Reiki One, Two, Advanced and has her Reiki Masters. She is currently studying Kundalini Yoga and Advance Yoga Therapy and later this year will commence her BWY Diploma. Through her studies she has developed her own style called Hathalini Yoga™, an exciting fusion of Hatha and Kundalini yoga.

Vanessa can also offer yoga as a therapy or as a preventative measure. Her expertise veers into the sports markets incorporating yoga into training programmes, working on the ethos of ‘prehap not rehab’.

Vanessa teaches at the Amida Health club, David Lloyds and Cannons as well as running her own ‘open’ classes from her studio where she offers a dynamic and challenging class with an emphasis on having fun.
