Jacqueline Purnell the journey
My Mother introduced me to yoga as a child.
I spent ten years in the City, initially a Reinsurance Broker at Lloyds, eventually a Reinsurance Underwriter with a multi-million pound, highly profitable portfolio.
I had a career change!
In India, following my Astanga Teacher Training, a Vedic Astrologer offered to create my Chart for free, as he discovered something unusual called a “Yoga”
“A joyful duty to train Yoga Teachers”.
With my family in tow we travelled to Thailand and the Red Sea teaching many Inspiring retreats, inspired by my students and what they taught me!
In the Red Sea I developed a brand of Yoga Scuba Diving.
During this time I studied with Yoga Masters I could only have dreamed of encountering.
In 2008 the dream continued in Ibiza: the Himalayas of the Mediterranean.
Ayurveda, Philosophy and Anatomy and Physiology are specialities during the 200 and 500 Hour Teacher Trainings and the Pregnancy Modules.
As a certified Doula my joy of teaching Pregnancy Yoga and Post Natal Yoga with the babies is a Passion.
An eclectic band of students from all over the world have been attracted to Ibiza Teacher Trainings, from Azerbaijan to New Orleans, Texas to Switzerland.
Student teachers love to express their wonderful talents in the abundant Nature of the Garden of Joy, Ibiza.
More and more men are embracing the injury prevention aspect. An Argentinian Snow Board Instructor, a Native American Cree Indian from Manitoba and a Surfing Instructor from Mallorca, all empowered to share their love of teaching Yoga.
I serve as BWY Regional Training Officer for London, organising dozens of Training events each year. Creating vibrant opportunities for Continuous Professional Development in the Capital City.
We are offering scholarships on our Prenatal Module 21st to 31st May and 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Ibiza Teacher Training. If you would like to know more email Jacqueline to arrange your interview via our contact page at www.yogashalaibiza.com.
